The engineering approach of VoltWorks is particularly helpful for products, when the design requirements are very constraint in terms of cost, performance, compactness etc. We maintain a range of reference design cards that can be easily modified to meet specific requirements. We use industry-standard production processes and quality management processes, and conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) checks for any design issues before production. The overall development stage is being executed with all the verification and validation steps with multiple environmental testing for durable and robust product.

In terms of software architecture, it includes several key components but not limited to control loop that samples sensor data and generates motor control signals, a power stage that amplifies and delivers these signals to the motor, and a communication interface that allows the motor controller to communicate with other parts of the vehicle or with external systems. The control loop uses a range of algorithms to generate the appropriate control signals of field-oriented control (FOC) & space-vector modulation (SVM), depending on the specific application.
